who can tell me the most efficent coil layout for 10 1"dia 1/2"thick neos?

It is difficult to recomend a specific design in this kind of forum as there are so many variables related to material selection and construction methods.

Some of the basic principles, for a single phase machine, are outlined in the sketches below.

All other factors being equal, a three phase stator winding will produce 73% more power with the same magnetic flux strength.

those pictures are awesome. I looked at I think your slotted lamanate stator I think I will try one like this first, does this desigen vibrate more? also I think you posted a nice cad drawing with a drilled stator to wrap the coils, could this be made from a lamanate of sheetmetel to be used with a dual roter type altenator?

Boomer, Electric Ed is the one with all the cool alternator diagrams and easy to understand explanations. I'm windstuffnow Ed that does all the wierd turbines and wind experiments and yes the 3d cad drawing of the stator with holes.

Simply having fun while learning new things.
